Official Rules

  • Qualified referrals are three-way arrangements. For example, an individual (#1) refers a qualified stakeholder (#2) to Solo Workforce (#3).
  • Individuals may refer any of the following stakeholders to Solo Workforce:
    • Another individual who works as a contract professional, freelancer or consultant.
    • A staffing firm or technical talent agency that places contract professionals and/or contract-to-hire job candidates.
    • An organization that engages contract professionals.
  • Referral rewards equal 1 percent of collected revenues as follows:
    • If you refer a client organization: Your referral reward is 1 percent of the total billing revenues that Solo Workforce collects on the first 10 individuals engaged by that organization.
    • If you refer a staffing firm: Your referral reward is 1 percent of the net billing revenues (total billings less the staffing firm’s margin) that Solo Workforce collects on the first 10 individuals the staffing firm runs through Solo Workforce.
    • If you refer an individual: Your referral reward is 1 percent of the referred individual’s billing revenues collected by Solo Workforce.
      • The minimum billing requirement for a referred individual is $60,000 per year (an average of $5,000 per month).
  • A referred party must provide the contact information for the referring individual upon signing up with Solo Workforce in order for the referring individual to qualify for a referral reward.
  • Referral rewards for a given referred stakeholder continue for five years from the date of the first referral reward processed by Solo Workforce.
  • Solo Workforce is the sole arbiter of who qualifies for a referral reward.
  • After one year of inactivity by a referred stakeholder, the linkage between a referrer and referred stakeholder ceases.
  • In any situation where more than one referrer may qualify for the same referral reward, Solo Workforce shall, at its sole discretion, apportion the 1 percent referral reward among the qualified referrers in accordance with circumstances at the time. If and when circumstances change, Solo Workforce will reassess the referral reward accordingly.
  • While Solo Workforce welcomes all referrals, from anyone, anytime, anywhere in the USA, the following types of referrals do not qualify for a referral reward:
    • An individual may not refer himself/herself in order to qualify for a referral reward.
    • An individual may not refer a dependent child, spouse, domestic partner, significant other or other immediate family member with whom the referrer shares financial resources in order to qualify for a referral reward.
    • To avoid an apparent conflict of interest, a non-owner employee, including a putative common-law employee, may not qualify for a referral reward by referring:
      • His/Her employer while employed by that business.
      • A contract professional while both are employed or engaged by that same employer.
